Once upon a time Lùme...

In the heart of this century old city, an elegant family home opens its doors to a unique and warm experience for discovering the region of Siracusa. It is much more than an address; it is a lifestyle experience placed under the magical spell of Sicily and its surrounding great blue sea. Lùme, embraced between the Opera House and the Mediterranean, is the very definition of beauty and simplicity.

One island, one family, one home, three Merlins!

St. Barthelemy, Ibiza, Formentera, Bali are only some of the many islands that Prune has had the opportunity of discovering in her youth. When Graziella, a family friend, invites her to Ortigia, she immediately falls under its charm and decides to find a vacation home. At number 30 in Via Larga, Prune visits a truly rare and large home “Cielo-terra” or rather “Heaven to Earth” to which she cannot resist. The project evolved and became Lume, a “maison d’hotes” that resembles a family home. She naturally entrusts the reigns to her Italian cousin Hanawa and his friend Ronan. The dynamic trio is now formed and will be assisted in the renovation by the Siracusan architect Antonio Burgo who will soon become a close family friend.

Prune

Parisian at heart but not snobbish, Prune is demanding and passionate. She loves sharing, discussing, traveling, finding the best opportunities, basking in the sun. Sometimes you need to know how to stop her when it starts arguing for hours about salty ricotta or the color of the edge of a pillow …

Ronan

With 15 years of experience at Hermes, he has a sense of hospitality and detail. Surely the funniest of the team, he can also be a bit cynical, but rest assured it’s just an impression! It will be your best ally in the morning thanks to its coffees and homemade cakes.

Hanawa

Born in Milan from an Italian mother and a Parisian father, he is the only Italian in the project! Passionate about fashion, he has collaborated with all the major Parisian Maison and beyond.

Spontaneous, he also knows how to delight in every situation and will always be there to host you with infinite delicacy.
